10 Days of Giving – Day 9

Our 9th Day of Giving was a BIG day! We provided a little extra Holiday Hope and Joy to EVERY NICU, PICU, and pediatric patient at Sanford Children’s Hospital. We are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to shine Landon’s Light on 50 children and their families in one day!

A give of this magnitude takes a significant amount of coordination and planning. We want to express a sincere Thank You to the amazing child life team at Sanford for working closely with us to ensure each child was included. This wonderful team works hard each day to brighten and enrich the lives of the children they serve, and we are grateful for their additional efforts to work with us.

Each child received one of our new Landon’s Light Tote bags filled with fun and cozy gifts and gift cards for their parents. We also included fantastic holiday related treats generously donated by amazing local businesses!

Thank You to Jen’s Bakery for providing the cutest holiday cut-out cookie decorating kits ready for the children to decorate in the hospital. They taste as amazing as they look!

Thank You to Frosted Art by Courtney for providing the most beautiful holiday decorated cookies for each of the parents. They are almost too pretty to eat!

Thank You to Krebs Kandy Co. for providing the cutest containers of cotton candy for each of the families. They were festive, fun and delicious! The Krebs family also included a NICU strong bracelet and Chapstick for each of the NICU families in honor of their sweet Ava Grace who spent the majority of her first year fighting for her life in the NICU at Sanford and is now thriving and amazing!

A special Thank You to the incredible team of volunteers who worked their magic to make each child and family feel special and smile a little brighter: Cara Christenson, Darci Miller, Katie Sullivan, Missy Larson, and Sara Farber. An additional thank you to the best helpers and elves: Sloane Christenson, Harris and Stella Miller, Eva Sullivan and the youngest volunteer elf to date, Finley Farber! This amazing group helped execute our biggest 10 Days of Giving delivery to date!

Please join us in praying for each of the children and families we served on Day #9 who are amidst challenging medical journeys. At a time when children should be looking forward to the holiday season, spending time with loved ones, and what Santa may be bringing, they are instead spending their days fighting challenging and big battles inside the walls of a hospital. We pray for strength, health and healing. Landon’s Light continues to shine Brightly on each of you!
