10 Days of Giving – Day 4
Tomas Hernandez is a 6-year-old boy from Pelican Rapids, MN. He has been courageously battling Leukemia since his diagnosis in April 2019. He is currently receiving ongoing treatment locally at Roger Maris Cancer Center. Tomas finds joy in all toys and enjoys playing with any type of vehicle including hotwheels.
Tomas has two brothers, Pedro (9) and Antonio (18mo). Tomas’ parents, Gregorio and Paulina, manage the daily demands of 3 busy boys while also traveling to Fargo with Tomas to ensure he receives the best treatment.
Tomas’s Day of Giving includes a variety of gifts and surprises for the entire family, including winter coats, games, books, toys and lots of cars. This wonderful team of volunteers also came up with the great idea of including an annual zoo membership for the family. They travel to Fargo frequently and this will provide a safe and fun outdoor activity for the entire family! We also hope to lessen the continued financial burden by providing the family with gas and Visa gift cards.
