Meet Ole!

In April, what began as a trip to the emergency room for some very mild symptoms quickly turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. It was there that Ole’s family received the heartbreaking news that he had been diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer.

Since that day, Ole has courageously begun a year-long treatment journey that includes chemotherapy and radiation. Despite everything he has endured, he continues to be an incredible ray of sunshine to everyone around him. You’ll often find him outside exploring, searching for the perfect stick to use as a pair of drumsticks, spotting every animal within miles, making new friends wherever he goes, and joyfully shaking his happy little arms. His curiosity, kindness, and infectious spirit remind everyone around him what resilience truly looks like.

Because the treatments and medications make Ole extremely sensitive to the sun, Landon’s Light was blessed to provide a Miracle Moment that allows him to safely enjoy being outdoors. His family received a large patio umbrella, a shaded play kitchen with a water table, a sandbox, and a bouncy house—activities that not only bring him joy but also help with the neuropathy caused by his treatments. Best of all, these gifts create special memories that he can share with his two younger siblings.

Perhaps the favorite gift of all has been a tricked-out wagon that allows Ole to continue exploring the world—even on the days when treatment makes walking difficult. It has already traveled countless miles, carrying a little boy whose adventurous spirit refuses to be slowed down.

Every gift has brought a little more light into Ole’s journey, allowing him to simply be a kid during an unimaginably difficult season. Every day with Ole is an adventure, a blessing, and a beautiful reminder that even in life’s hardest moments, joy can still be found.

Please keep Ole and his family in your prayers.
