Matt Lien
Matt is originally from Duluth, MN and has made Fargo his home since 2016. Matt has been married for 7 years to his wife, Sara, and together they live in Horace with their three boys, Gino (5), Jack (3), baby Luke and their dog Gabe.
Matt is currently the Director of Investor Relations at LongWater Opportunities, a lower middle market private equity firm that operates out of Fargo, ND and Dallas TX. Before his time at LongWater Matt worked in the non-profit world, specifically in higher education with the Athletics Department and the Foundation at North Dakota State University. In his time at NDSU Matt raised funds for capital projects, scholarships, endowments, and special projects, while leading a team of talented fundraisers.
Matt is excited to join the Board at Landon’s Light because of the way the Foundation turned devastating circumstance into positive impact in the community. Matt’s two oldest boys, like Landon, love their family, friends, and sports. He is excited to have a hand in making enduring times for families a little easier.
