Meet Maria
In December 2024, Maria, age 8, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was flown to the Minneapolis for surgery after the tumor was discovered. The tumor removed and she spent a month recovering from her surgery, followed by six weeks of proton radiation at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Since returning home in March 2025, she completed second grade. Maria continues to receive therapies to help with her recovery. She will receive frequent MRIs to ensure the tumor does not regrow and she continues on the path to good health.
Landon’s Light surprised Maria with a family trip to the Cities. She will have a follow up MRI there, but in order to make the trip a memorable one, Maria and her family will spend a couple days there, making memories at a Twins game and water park.
