Meet Liam!
For this energetic and brave 6-year-old, what began as pneumonia and swollen lymph nodes in his neck led his family to an unexpected and life-changing diagnosis. After surgery and further testing, Liam was diagnosed with Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD), a rare immune disorder that makes it difficult for the body to fight certain infections.
Because of his diagnosis, Liam faced a major medical journey and the need for a bone marrow transplant. Thankfully, his little sister, Violet, was found to be a perfect match to serve as his donor—offering Liam the possibility of a cure.
Today, Liam is moving forward with incredible courage, surrounded by the love and support of his family. His journey is a reminder of the strength of children, the gift of family, a generous community and the hope that can be found even in the midst of a difficult medical journey.
Please keep Liam in your prayers as he prepares for his future medical appointments with the hopes that he can return to school, alongside his classmates and friends before year end.
