Meet Kaylene!
She is a strong, caring and engaging 17-year-old whose life changed unexpectedly last summer. While working at her job, Kaylene suddenly collapsed and was airlifted to Fargo. After numerous tests, doctors discovered she was experiencing End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
For nearly two months, Kaylene remained in Fargo, undergoing treatments and working closely with her medical team to determine the next steps in her journey—all while hoping to eventually return home. She was able to transition to at-home dialysis as she awaited testing to determine her kidney transplant options.
Then came an incredible answer to their prayers. Kaylene’s mom was found to be a match and will be her kidney donor!
As Kaylene and her family prepare for this next step, please keep Kaylene, her mom and their entire family in your prayers. Her courage, strength and positive spirit continue to shine brightly as she faces this journey with hope for brighter days ahead.
