10 Days of Giving – Day 3
Lane is a 4-year-old boy from Glen Ullin, ND who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in July of this year. Lane is receiving treatment at Roger Maris Cancer Center and Sanford Medical Center. He and his family have spent a considerable amount of time away from home over the last few months. Lane has a sweet and kind personality, loves Batman and has a smile that not only makes his eyes sparkle, but lights up the entire room (even behind a mask).
Lane is loved in a BIG way. He has four older brothers, Nathanial, Landon, Logan, and Jackson and has one younger sister, Charlie. Lane’s Mom, Rebecca, is dedicated to ensuring he receives the best possible care and outcome. She is navigating the challenges of a busy household, traveling back and forth for treatment, while also being separated as a family, with strength and grace.
Lane’s Day of Giving was filled with a variety of fun and exciting gifts to provide Christmas for the entire family. We are thankful that our volunteer elves were able to take each of the children’s Christmas lists and ensure the items were beautifully wrapped and ready to be placed under their tree for Christmas Day. We are so grateful for the opportunity to help Rebecca with the holiday preparation so she may focus on Lane’s treatment and the rest of the family’s daily needs. The elves also thoughtfully included gifts to make Rebecca feel special. We also hope to lessen the continued financial burden by providing gift cards for consistent travel expenses.
This amazing group of volunteers wanted to help the family create lasting memories and included a zoo membership to be used at multiple locations as well as a SUPRISE Limo ride the evening of the give to take a Christmas Light tour! It was a Joyful experience to see the excitement in their eyes when they realized they were able to ride in the BIGGEST limo they had ever seen!
A special Thank You to the incredible team of volunteers that worked their magic to make Lane’s Day of Giving personalized, fun and extra special: Emily Haen, Jennifer Wentz, Laura Luktemeier, Michelle Anderson and Sarah Daggett.
We also want to express our sincere gratitude to All Occasions Limousine and Coach for their extremely generous donation of the limo ride. Additionally, we want to thank The Black Frame for graciously providing very special items for both Rebecca and the kids.
Please join us in praying for Lane and his family as they continue to navigate his treatment plan and cancer journey. Our prayers include safe travels and the ability to celebrate this Christmas season together. Stay strong and keep smiling Lane, Landon’s Light is shining Brightly on you!
