Everett is a darling 3-year-old boy from West Fargo who was diagnosed with Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration (PKAN) in June 2022. PKAN is an extremely rare, progressive genetic disease involving degeneration of the nervous system and build-up of iron in the brain. Everett’s smile lights up the room and he lives each day full of joy despite the challenges he faces.

Everett’s parents, David and Morgan, continue to navigate the countless doctor visits, therapy sessions and unknowns of his diagnosis with a tremendous amount of grace, positivity, and faith.

Everett’s diagnosis causes instability with his balance, and we were grateful to create a safe and playful environment with a big boy bedroom makeover. We incorporated his love of dinosaurs and safe and soft walls that will provide the ability for him to play freely in his room. Our hearts exploded as we witnessed his pure joy as he played in his new room.

We could not have made this transformation happen without the expertise of our volunteer contractor, Justin. We are incredibly grateful for his continued willingness to jump in and make these rooms come to life for the children we serve.

Please join us in praying for Everett and his family as they continue to navigate this journey. Stay strong and brave sweet boy, Landon’s Light continues to shine on you!
