Barry is the sweetest 6-year-old boy from Hawley, MN who was diagnosed with epilepsy in March of 2021. Despite the obstacles that Barry faces with epilepsy and autism, he continues to radiate positivity, love, and pure Joy. Barry stole our hearts and had us wrapped around his finger from the moment we met him.
Barry has two older sisters, Kylie and Piper, and an older brother, Oliver. This fantastic foursome is such a joy to watch interact. Barry’s parents, Jake and Brooke, continue to navigate this unknown and scary journey with positivity, patience and grace.
Barry loves pushing buttons and light switches and is happiest when swinging. Barry’s Miracle Moment included a fun bedroom refresh. We were able to add new bedding, organizational tools, and a compression swing to enable him to swing all year round. We also included a colorful busy board that includes buttons, switches and fun options he can play with. We were thrilled to also include an outdoor swing beam to provide the opportunity for the entire family to spend time together and make memories doing what Barry loves.
Thank you to our fantastic volunteer, Justin, who assisted in the bedroom installation and always saves the day for us. A special and heartfelt Thank You to Rainbow Play Systems of North Dakota for graciously partnering with us to provide this swing beam. We are grateful for your continued support and generosity. We also could not have made this happen without the amazing help of Zach Fluto and Tom Harrinton from My Turn Playsystems who installed the swing beam. Thank you for helping us provide JOY in Barry’s journey!
Please join us in praying for Barry and his family. Stay strong and brave Barry, Landon’s Light continues to shine on you!
