Meet Jackson!
Jackson was diagnosed with cancer in March 2024, but it wasn’t until May that the rare diagnosis of Primary Renal Rhabdomyosarcoma was confirmed. Since then, he has undergone surgery to remove a kidney and a piece of his lung. His family has traveled hundreds of hours to Minneapolis and Rochester for treatment. Jackson’s diagnosis is extremely rare, with only ten documented cases, four of which are similar to his. Due to the aggressive nature of his cancer, he is undergoing intensive chemotherapy and requires blood and platelet transfusions every few days.
In November, Jackson was to start the 9th 3-week cycle. Unfortunately, his numbers weren’t up and they had to push this one off again. His energy level has been next to nothing, but he remains positive through it all. Jackson’s family fills him with love each day. He’s such a strong kid and he is fighting with all his might. Some days they wonder how they are going to get through this and then they are reminded that God is there. He hears their prayers and comforts their hearts. While some days are harder than others, they strive to stay positive through his journey.
Please raise Jackson and his family up with your prayers and he continues to fight this very rare form of cancer.
