Meet Gunnar through the beautiful words shared by his mom.

Gunnar Haseltine is full of joy. He loves practical jokes, “fighting bad guys” in his super hero costumes, running like wild in the great outdoors, his family and his silly dog Disa. He’s cheerful, kind, funny & full of life, energy & light.

In February of 2024, that light was threatened when he experienced intense foot pain, fatigue, night sweats and suddenly turned jaundice. Gunnar was life-flighted to Sandford Hospital in Fargo, ND where he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

His treatment journey is long, but his outcome is incredibly bright. Gunnar went into remission in March of 2024 and has conquered the most aggressive part of treatment through God’s grace, his parents unwavering commitment and the consistent love and prayers of his family & friends.

Gunnar is currently in maintenance treatment and will cross the finish line in May of 2026. Our biggest prayer through this valley is that Gunnar would not lose his spunk, his spirit and his joy and we are elated to report: He has not! He is one happy boy. It’s a miracle of God how well Gunnar is doing and God gets all the glory.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Gunnar’s mommy
